Who we are
Dykes On Decks is a Brighton-based collective and queer electronic club night for lesbians, queer women, trans, and non-binary communities, with a focus on platforming FLINTA* DJs.
As a DJ duo, Dykes On Decks consists of co-founders Lebby and Alex Berry.
Dykes On Decks aims to create spaces where LGBTQIA+ people can dance, flirt, connect, explore electronic music, and express themselves freely in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
LGBTQIA+, Queer, FLINTA + allies welcome.
We recognise the importance of this space for our dykes, it is first and foremost for them.
We welcome allies and appreciate your support. However, this event is primarily a space for dykes, lesbians, queer women, trans, non-binary, and FLINTA* people.
We ask allies to be mindful of this and help ensure the space remains centred on the communities it was created for.
Please be respectful, aware of the space you occupy, and support the atmosphere without dominating it. By attending, you're helping us create a safer, more affirming environment where our community can connect, celebrate, and be themselves.
Who’s it for?
The music at Dykes on Decks travels through a multiverse of blended genres with bouncy basslines, floor filling 90’s trance anthems, tasteful techno, energetic electro, hard house beats and generous doses of garage and queer bangers.
Iconic and playful queer samples are mixed in throughout the sets creating warm feelings of nostalgia and humour. The BPM elevates throughout the night.
Dykes On Decks celebrates authentic musical expression, with each night shaped by the DJs behind the decks. We invite DJs to lean into their strengths and give them space to experiment, explore new sounds, and introduce fresh genres to the dancefloor.
