Safe space & Welfare Policy -

DOOR POLICY

We operate a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of abuse or harassment, including (but not limited to) homophobia, transphobia, racism, fatphobia, sexism, ableism, xenophobia, and biphobia. Any behaviour that becomes harmful due to intoxication will not be tolerated, and anyone acting in a way that negatively impacts others or the space will be removed immediately.

Consent is essential at all times—please always ask before engaging with or touching anyone, and respect everyone’s personal space. Failure to do so will result in immediate action.

If you witness any inappropriate behaviour, please report it to a member of staff as soon as possible.

All toilets at the venue are gender neutral.

We are committed to creating a welcoming and safe environment for everyone, so please be kind, look out for one another, and be considerate throughout the event.

SAFE SPACE & WELFARE

Dykes On Decks aims to create a safe space for our community to express themselves freely and feel comfortable doing so.

Our welfare team will be wearing branded “Dancefloor Dykes” T-shirts and are available throughout the night.

If at any point you feel unsafe or wish to report an experience, please speak to a member of bar staff, door staff, or a member of the Dykes On Decks team as soon as possible so we can address it immediately.

Anti-spiking drink covers will be available at the bar.

We also have a dedicated safe space for anyone feeling unwell, unsafe, anxious, or overwhelmed—please don’t hesitate to speak to a member of our team.

Accessibilty

We strive to make our events as accessible as possible and encourage attendees to contact us in advance with any accessibility needs. As our events take place at different venues, accessibility features may vary from space to space, but we will always do our best to provide clear, up-to-date access information for each event.

PA/carer can enter for free, please email or DM us about this.

If you have any further access needs please get in touch with us via email or DM.

Lighting & Flash Photography

There will be strobe and flashing lights used throughout.

We deeply care about your privacy. Please get in touch if you see a video/photo of yourself you do not want online alternatively please inform the Photographer or videographer that you are not comfortable being captured.

This is an 18+ event. Please bring valid physical photo ID (DRIVERS LICENCE/PASS CARD/PASSPORT) along with your digital ticket, and have both ready at the door to ensure smooth entry. Our friendly door team will be vetting entry to help maintain a safe and welcoming space for everyone. Bags will be checked on arrival for the safety of all attendees.

Tickets will also be available on the door unless the event has sold out.

If at any point you feel unsafe or experience anything negative, please speak to a member of staff or the Dykes On Decks team immediately so we can address it as quickly as possible.
